Plainview HS Continuous Learning Framework

The purpose of this guide is to provide students, parents and teachers direction, answers and expectations during our time of distance learning.  Our hope is to maintain academic rigor while providing a sense of stability to our students and their families. We will continue to support our students in every way possible during this unprecedented time.


A week's worth of daily assignments will be posted (Edmodo, Google Classroom, etc.) by 9AM each Monday with the expectation each week's work is due by the following Monday at 8AM. 

Week #1- April 6-10, 2020                 Assignments due April 13, 2020 by 8:00 a.m.

Week #2- April 13-17, 2020               Assignments due April 20, 2020 by 8:00 a.m.                

Week #3- April 20-24, 2020              Assignments due April 27, 2020 by 8:00 a.m.                

Week #4- April 27-May 1, 2020        Assignments due May 3, 2020 by 8:00 a.m.  

Week #5- May 4-8, 2020                    Assignments due May 10, 2020 by 8:00 a.m.

Week #6- May 11-15, 2020               Assignments due May 17, 2020 by 8:00 a.m.

Week #7- May 18-22, 2020               Assignments due May 22, 2020 by 8:00 a.m.


Academic expectations and integrity remain in force.  Students should upload completed assignments no later than the following Monday by 8:00 am. Grades will be entered into Wengage on each Wednesday following the assignment week.



Teachers will have a daily office hour to assist students and help with any problems that may arise.  Office hours will be held in a virtual platform that will be selected by each teacher and communicated with families and administration.  Office times should be used for tutoring, teacher availability, parent questions, etc.  This may include but is not limited to: Edmodo, Zoom, Google Classroom, email, phone calls, etc.  


Zoom Connects are not intended to teach lessons.  It is a time to connect with students, sustain communication and answer questions regarding a lesson from the week.  Teachers will send students a private link in order to join the next Zoom meeting.  This time is not required for students to attend, however it is encouraged!

Zoom Connects for the HS Core/Elective Class teachers will be assigned as follows:

                Monday-Thursday               2:00-2:30              English

                Monday-Thursday                2:30-3:00              Math

                Monday-Thursday                3:00-3:30              Science

                Monday-Thursday                3:30-4:00              Social Studies

                Friday                                     2:00-4:00              Electives
